B. Justin Krawitt, MD
Dr. Krawitt is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College and is the Medical Director of Utilization and Clinical Documentation at an academic medical center. He has served the roles of Medical Director of Transfer Center, Bed Management, and the On Call Medical Directors and has comprehensive knowledge of hospital operations. Current responsibilities include operations across the healthcare delivery spectrum including Revenue Cycle, Risk Contracting, Billing and Coding, UM/CM/CDI, Quality, Payor Contracting, CMS compliance, and Physician Engagement.
He trained in internal medicine Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Louisville School of Medicine and received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont. He is a practicing hospitalist and President of the NH-VT Chapter Society of Hospital Medicine .
Matthew Sabatino, MD
Dr. Sabatino is a private practice spine surgeon in Northwest Boston. After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point, he served in combat as a field artillery officer in the U.S. Army. Dr. Sabatino obtained his medical degree at Georgetown University, and trained as an orthopaedic surgeon at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center and then as a spine surgeon at the Yale Comprehensive Spine Surgery Fellowship.
He earned a Masters Degree in Health Care Policy from The Dartmouth Institute and is an expert speaker on the topic of surgical documentation and a published author in peer-reviewed surgical journals in the field of clinical documentation and ICD-9 and ICD-10 granularity.
Elias Loukas, MD
Dr. Loukas is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College and is the Medical Director of Care Management and as member of the Medical Director pool at an academic medical center.
He obtained his medical degree at the State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY, and trained as an internist at Brown University, Providence, RI. Dr. Loukas has designed several modules for utilization review workshops and training conferences, utilized at multiple hospital sites across the country.
Rima Mercado, MD
Dr. Mercado is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College and is an Associate Medical Director of Care Management and Clinical Documentation at an academic medical center.
Dr. Mercado trained in internal medicine at Griffin Hospital in Derby, CT and she received her medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery in Manila, Philippines. She is a recently-elected diplomate of the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians for her expertise in Clinical Documentation.
Robert Mathew, DO
Dr. Mathew is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College and is an Associate Medical Director of Utilization, Care Management and Clinical Documentation at an academic medical center.
Dr. Mathew trained in internal medicine at Bassett Healthcare Hospitals and Clinics in Cooperstown, NY and he received his medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, NY.
